Northside Baptist Church

Pastor and Mrs. McCain were called to a rescue mission of a small group of people that were left from Northside Baptist Church in Modesto, California. They were meeting in a private pre-school building. The congregation grew for three months until the building was sold and, in one day, Easter Sunday, the church was moved to the McCain’s home, using all rooms, porch and garage! When we reached 45 in number, the church rented spaces at Merryhill Country School, just a mile away. There it grew to capacity and moved to their own rental location on Greenleaf Circle, still on the Northside of Modesto. There the congregation continued to grow. It became necessary to find a new church home, and the congregation moved to a newly built rental space on Glass Court in Modesto.
